I’ve been talking about The Fempreneur Collective (a.k.a TFC) on social media and sharing bits of information here and there.  So, today I’m giving you a proper introduction to the TFC and sharing more about the project I’m so fortunate to have been working on for the last 2 months.

The story of the The Fempreneur Collective is linked to founder Jakolien Sok’s business journey.  Her business, Boosting Your Brand, has been around for 10 years and has helped hundreds of companies and thousands of people to improve their businesses by implementing marketing strategies that Jakolien teaches.  Over the years, she has taught groups of people in face-to-face sessions, hosted workshops for corporate clients and facilitated strategic planning sessions that have been of immense value for years afterwards.

Jakolien is based in The Netherlands, and she loves working with clients and students all over the world.  Her clients come from various industries, and every one of them has seen success through working with her.  She is a fabulous mix of gentle encouragement and kick-in-the-booty real talk.  She’s passionate about teaching strategies, but don’t call her a business coach.  She’s much, much more than that.

Over the last 10 years, she’s worked with high-profile, big-business clients as well as entrepreneurs who are just starting their businesses.  Because of her love of teaching and helping people grow their business, she decided to take her offline training experience and apply it to the online space to  embrace the world of online teaching.  Presenting courses online will allow Jakolien to help more fempreneurs to improve their strategies and build thriving, successful businesses.

Jakolien has seen a gap in the market regarding online training.  She understands that online courses have amazing, quality content and thousands of people buy the courses with the hope of implementing the content to make a tangible difference to their businesses.  But where Jakolien sees most people struggling is the implementation phase.  A lot of business owners don’t know how to interpret the information and make it work for them, and they struggle to put what they’ve learned into practice.

What makes The Fempreneur Collective different is that the group includes 1:1 access to Jakolien and her wealth of knowledge.  Jakolien helps you translate what you’ve learned into actionable steps for your business.

While outlining her vision and goals for the project, she realised she didn’t want to do it alone.  So, she did some research, spent time in other Facebook groups, connected with a few entrepreneurs and got them on board to help bring this big vision to the world.

Her main purpose of being an entrepreneur is freedom for herself and for her family, and helping more entrepreneurs achieve the same for themselves.  She’s not about the numbers and measuring success according to revenue or the size of an email list.  Her vision is to help business owners to create a lifestyle that makes them happy – whether that includes earning $10 000 per year or $1m per year.

I’m so proud to be working with Jakolien and to be a part of The Fempreneur Collective.  The group is full of focused, ambitious, passionate, supportive lady entrepreneurs.  I truly believe in the power of community when I think about the vision for the group, and that we are a part of making awesome stuff happen.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing interviews I’ve done with each member of the TFC Crew and the 2 guest bloggers.  There are 6 of us:  Jakolien Sok, Zoé Rodz, Shamaila Zahid, Melissa De Klerk, and the guest bloggers Katie Colella and Lisa Balthaser.  I’m excited to introduce everyone to you, so stay tuned.

The website for The Fempreneur Collective launched recently and we are all so thrilled with it.  Head on over to The Fempreneur Collective.  We’ll see you there.
